Steak and/or Lobster my fav is the Old Homestead (56 9th Ave - 212.242.9040). A bit pricey but well worth it
Indian - Mumtaz ( 84th & 85th, 1493 3rd Avenue 212.879.4797)
Pizza - almost any where is much much better than this side of the pond (IMHO)
Hmmm... get very hungry... missing my old haunts :-(

For great food and a fantastic view of the city, check out The River Cafe in Brooklyn (pricey though). If you're in (or near) Times Square, there's a restaurant at the top of the Marriott Marquee that rotates. Also very cool. Not a great restaurant, but good for drinks and the view. Greenwich Village and Little Italy are also nice spots. Skating in Rockefeller Center, the MET, the MOMA...live music.
Good stuff. Enjoy!

cool, just me and the wife, staying close by times square, hotel looks odd tho...
