No, they grow to about 200m in length, although you are partly right - once they have reached their full size they do get smaller by about 18%.
Actually, the largest recorded hedgehog had arteries big enough to drive a double-decker bus down.
Originally posted by i am scientistsWell, strictly speaking there's actually no such thing as a "giant" hedgehog as they are all large. Hedgehogs live on all 38 continents and are likely to be found wherever there is a suitable food supply - creches, primary schools, ice rinks etc. And sometimes car parks.
Where do these giant hedgehogs live?
:'(
While you lot were joking around, 45 hedgehogs were killed because the animal shelters couldn't afford to take care of them. Another 7 died from a quill infection due to the lack of money to purchase the necessary hedgehog anti-biotic.
I believe many of you are confusing the hedgehog, a small, omnivorous, mammal, with the lion, a large, carniverous member of the feline family. Please make the distinction so as to not give prospective hedgehog adopters the wrong impression.

Originally posted by ark13I'm not surprised they had to kill 45 of them - it must cost a fortune to supply them with kids' arms. Really, we should be exterminating this species or rounding them up and sending them to fend for themselves on Jupiter.

Originally posted by mosquitorespectThe problem is that most hedgehogs only eat left arms, and very few children are willing to give those.
You need a good supply of children's arms to keep your battery hedgehogs going to supply Nordlys with walrus food. Thankfully the world has a lot of children, many of whom would give their right arm to see a walrus happy.
