Our Founding Fathers in their wisdom established a countervailing balance of power. Circumstantially, our 2008 presidential/congressional

election now confers an incredible vestige of power to a narrow elitist oligarchy. Freedom-authority = anarchy. Authority-freedom = tyranny.

Look for early signs once the pleasantries of transition and the false overtures of ceremony have concluded. Nancy and Harry rule the day.

Yes, Sir, not only a fact of the History of the United States but also an indicator of dramatic trends and grassroots changes to come. Let's

connect missing check and balance dots. The Legislature holds the purse strings to fund the many ambitious expenditures (and restrictions)

which will be initiated by the Executive Branch according to campaign promises. Due to attrition, within a year Judicial Branch will be in line.

More nonsense from the state that brought you George W. Bush.

Judgemental generalization by an intellectual hitchhiker with a mean spirited knapsack devoid of perspective, freedom principles and historical fact.

Thanks. Must ask you a personal question relating to a first big time musical play role in a Chicago Theater last summer. Think it was you.

Was it? And also didn't you have a Chicago Bears Avatar earlier 2008? If I'm wrong on both recollections, who the heck was it if it wasn't you?

Actually, PRESIDENT George W. Bush is from Texas. You might want to check your facts before you try to run with the big boys.

Informed people with property ownership and a stake in the preservation of free enterprise principles or a welfare minded electorate?

You are not happy with the results, I take it? 😛

It's harder to accept change when you get older, I know. But with change comes progress and some of us embrace it and don't look back so much.

Point of view is everything. To some of us, the "narrow, elitist oligarchy" is the bunch that just got voted out as well as the outgoing president and cabinet.

Do you honestly believe that you can divide the voters between property owners and those who want hand-outs? If you truly, deep down inside think everyone who voted for Obama is looking for a handout and that's why they voted for him, you need to get out more or listen to more people. This election was about a large number of complex issues including civil rights (and their loss post-911), multiple wars and the reasons behind them, bailing out companies so their CEOs can take expensive vacations with our taxpayer money, health care, the economy, our place in the world, our fears for the future, etc. It also involved the very real image of a potential president staggering across the floor and knowing if he doesn't make it he'll be replaced by someone who thinks proximity to a foreign country has some sort of significance. If I'm as close to Mexico as she is to Russia, does that mean I'm as qualified as she is?

With respect to you and in all fairness to rbmorris, believe his 'state' reference was to the national entity of the USA, not TX or MA per se.
