The post that was quoted here has been removedI am not an apologist for the British government and I am sure it gets many things wrong. It is also true that racism was very apparent in 20th century Liverpool although things started to move in the right direction through the 80s and 90s.
My point remains that you are perpetuating the problem by implying that very few people have been involved in a city and a culture moving in the right direction and you are doing so because it conflicts with your generalisations about White British. Trying to suggest that nothing has changed by using examples of post war experience is very much the approach that perpetuates schism and leads to racism.
