I have an ex from school, whom I treated like a right arse, add me a while ago. Weird.

Just remember, I think people can access your info as if they were your accepted friend if you click 'Not now' to their friend request*.

* Not 100% sure, just remember reading something like that after they changed the friend request feature.

I thought there were only two options, 'Accept' and 'Not now'. You've got me worried now.

'Not now' just hides the request. You need to 'show hidden' and then delete the request.

The Not Now feature hides the requests, you need to show the hidden requests then DELETE them with FIRE!~

I am not sure if you can see everything friends can see when somebody has "not now"ed you (the information I can see could be public anyway), but their updates do show in the newsfeed. I only noticed that the person hadn't accepted my friendship request because I couldn't reply to the updates.

Well FB strikes again in the privacy department. I've deleted them now. Thank you.

Eek, too many Americans with shiny, designer teeth there.
I resent that.

Yes, it is null and void.

It does appear that my ex was interested in being part of my life though (of which I cannot reciprocate), but appears to have been put off by me being atheist. I am fine with that. 🙂
