I had an ex who added me recently. I am yet to decide if accepting her friend request was a good or bad thing.
Just remember, I think people can access your info as if they were your accepted friend if you click 'Not now' to their friend request*.
* Not 100% sure, just remember reading something like that after they changed the friend request feature.
