then i see crowley coming in and telling yim to ignore uzless because "He ALWAYS seems to have an opinion, based on some mystical knowledge that he never reveals."
now i've read the 'debate' you have had with crowley... neither of you have any respect for each other and neither of you is going to change the others opinion on the matter... that's the only two certain things in this thread. as far as i'm concerned and crowley as well it seems having not replied to your last post that said the same as the one i quoted, the one before that and the one before that is that the 'debate' was dead and any posts after that would just be the both of you repeating yourselves. do you understand? you are not the only person in this thread nor are you the sole voice against corporal punishment.
now look at your response to my post... again you rant on about corporal punishment to me when i haven't even stated my views on this thread about it. i was merely pointing out that you were interrupting a conversation that had nothing to do with you only to rant about the same old things you've already went over time and time and time and time again on this thread.
so think about it.. was i 'defending crowley' as you say or merely telling you to give it a rest? think about it.
that's all i have to say on the matter. the matter in this case being your rants... if you want to hear my opinion about corporal punishment just ask and i will share. but i doubt you care about what anyone else has to think... not unless it's exactly what you do, would i be right?
Just for once 😉 I feel the need to pass opinion. I slapped my eldest daughter on the hand when she was 5. She was taking the pee out of my youngest daughter (3 at the time), trying to be clever and taking away attention. I told her to come to me and hold out her hand. She obliged willingly, probably thinking I was handing her something. I slapped her hand. Not a hard whack, but enough for her to be belittled and very embarrassed. She hid her hands from me for weeks. I never needed, to this very day, to chastise her again, nor the little one ever - who went to her rescue when she was in tears after the whack!
I felt awful for a long long time. BUT IT WORKED. I only ever had to give a look when they were pushing boundaries, and say the words, "Do you like your hand as it feels now?" and their boundary pushing stopped in an instant.
A one off is enough. A constant barrage of smacks is where YOU have failed in your first attempt of using punishment that is physically based!!

Like I told you I will repeat it 100 times, 1000 times, if it makes a difference, in just one child not getting hit by their so called loving parents.

there's a difference between interpreting and commenting... i commented on your interruption, ergo - not a hypocrite in this case. (note the 'in this case lulz) 😛
my views on this - there's is always a better better way to discipline a kid than to spank them, in my view that tells the kid that's it's ok to solve problems by using violence. i also think it's quite a lazy way of parenting... but that could be debated and people are different so i shouldn't generalize. lets not forget though that kids are different and when all else fails if a slight spank actually shows results, who are we to condemn the parent? it all depends on the child and the parent but if/when i have kids they will never be spanked...

do you not see the error in you ways of ranting here? you had starman agreeing with you at the start of this, myself also but look at what it turn out to be... what do you think you would've done differently here to keep the rest of the anti-corporal punishment with you on this one?
