One day the dog escape, and she was chasing after it calling out "blackie, blackie" at the top of her voice, until a rather large gentleman of african decent asked her what she was saying. Quickly thinking she said it was backie and explained that it was short for tobaco the name of her dog. Fortuneately the gentleman bought the story & the name backie has been used every since.
