I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the RHP dream.
I have a dream that one day this website will rise up and live out the true meaning of its existence. All members will create one account per person, make their moves with dignity, post sensible threads and do not harass other members.
I have a dream that one day in RHP forums people will start being nice to each other, talk, and discuss together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even “Only Chess” forum will be full of chess related articles, tactics threads, opening discussions and free of cheating accusations. When people lose to cheaters they will send feedback to site admins and not post their emotions in heat of injustice and anger. These feedbacks will be transformed into an oasis of brotherhood and justice.
I have a dream that my 7 year old brother and his friends will one day play in a website where they will make their moves with enjoyment and improve their chess skills everyday and they will be welcomed their original character to represent their true identity in the forums.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day and every member will be able to challenge each with trusting each other. Old, or young, or beginner or master will play chess with each other and create friendships.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day we will not even a game moderation team, that nobody is going cheat and even talk about it in the forums. Everyone will understand that cheating is only cheating himself.
I have a dream people will understand that online chess ratings are meaningless.
I have a dream that one day we will not even need forums moderators. Nobody will post when they are drunk or high. Nobody will spam and post inappropriate context to RHP forums. Everyone will respect each other and post context that will improve RHP.
This is our hope. This is the faith that when every member joins RHP and commits to TOS. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our website into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to play together, to struggle together, post in the forums and discuss together, to stand up for dignity together, knowing that we will be free of abusers one day.
This will be the day when all of RHP members will be able to play freely, trusting each other. This will be the day we all will try to understand each other’s culture. This will be the day where the public accusations will stop. This will be the day where people stop leaving RHP.
And if RHP is to be a great chess website this must become true. So let friendship ring from the General Forum. Let chess knowledge ring from the mighty threads of “Chess Only” forum. Let welcoming posts ring from the “Help Forum”.
Let meaningful discussions ring from hot topics of the Debates Forum!
Let science debates ring from the brand new Science Forum!
But not only that; let culture ring from the threads of Culture Forum!
Let brotherhood ring from the interesting threads of Spirituality!
Let dignity ring from every friendly game and tournament games. From
every clan game, let dignity ring.
And when this happens, when we allow friendship and brotherhood to ring, when we let it ring from every game we play, from every post we create, we will be able to speed up that day when all of RHP’s members, beginner player and master player, old player and young player, English player and foreign player, will be able to send friendly messages to each and play chess freely and comfortably. We will all scream that day:, "Free at last! dignity at last! thank God Almighty, we can play chess freely at last!"

taking small steady steps which the salt of the earth are already doing. Never been of a mind to crusade, march
with the herd or whitewash the world ... but count me in, in spirit from the senior citizen section of the grandstand.
P.S. Effective and thoughtful paraphrase. Tough grader though, so how about A- to A.

I'll read it if you put the Scotland flag in your chess board. You have a Scotland flag in your club, but not on your chess board ðŸ˜
I will be honoured to put a Scottish flag there.
Don't worry. 😉
Also a Quebec flag too for Les Quebequoises!
Noble sentements. However, I enjoy reading the back and forth Verbal jousting. It has an energizingn effect after leaving the games. But in point I admire your sentements. In re to cheating, which we all agree is much overly discussed, the rating points and clan or club standings are the incentives of play. You must admit, some for of reward for winning gives the competition meaning. That is a big reason for the distaste for cheaters. When I find myself playing a cheat it leaves me with an empty feeling. A sort of, why not just resign. It destroys the spirit of the game. I can only wish there were some way to so shame these people they would never show their faces in public. They are such a disgusting lot.
