Most people just move when they feel like it. You might find someone who wants to play a whole game in one go, but it's not really the right type of site for that.

They were ingame messages. They appear above the game. Now that the game is finished, you can still find them in the message log (link at the upper right).

The first time I got a message in a game, I didn't see it either, until several moves later when there was another message and I checked the message log. It's strange because it's right there, but somehow very easy to overlook.
