My Guitars
Don’t touch my precious guitars
They are mine and mine alone
You can keep your foreign cars
Don’t call me on the phone
They are not penile extensions
That’s woman’s talk that is
They fine tune my emotions
Like a costly shrink but gratis
My red one holds such loud scorning
For any neighbours noisy party
I’ll play it on a Sunday morning
While singing rock songs hearty
My round back doesn’t lack for playing
It sings of joy, love and blues
Wedding songs and funereal praying
Tears it’s brought and times amused
I’ve loved and lost and loved again
Though my broken heart has mended
It was my two guitars that kept me sane
And through self pity tended
My guitars are part of my soul
Though not one of my obsessions
Without them I am not whole
They’re more than just possessions

Guitars like people in one's life may come and go but you latch on and bond iwth one you love. My round back has lasted the distance through a long first marriage, divorce , the realisation of a new bachelorhood and woo hoo period .. then settling into a new relationship and remarriage.. but I have to say she inspired me into a lippy red roadstar sII and new amp which I also love sooo much.
haha I'm gonna ditch that round back one day....
