Wow, what kind of people do you talk to? Most people I talk to are against the death penalty.
As for death penalty, there's only one reason I'm against it. There is always the risk that the sentenced person are innocent of the crime. DNA and all but like they say in the network security business: A network is only as safe as it's weakest link.
