for instance
I have two e-mail accounts...
when I joined the site, I was using yahoo, and now I have one with comcast. If I get banned, I could just make a new account with a new unrecognizable username and slip in under the radar.
on the other hand, if I get banned, it'll probably be because I "expressed my opinion" in a way the administration didn't approve on a subject about the affairs of this site.
like with the last incident...

You two were asked to let it go, but decided to bring it up a level. Even still both of you are taking shots at the moderation crew, who are all volunteers and actually have better things to do with their time than baby-sit over a couple of users who I feel don't even know what was going on.
I think you pushed the mod a bit far, when they had every right in the world to do what they did. Choose your battles.
