I sure wish I'd had one when my car broke down on the side of a busy highway one December and it was at least an hour before anyone stopped. Now it's the only phone I have, and I appreciate having it in emergencies and in towns without payphones.

The features that are important seem rather transient. What is important, what is critical is that they keep on selling. Without their existence, it is doubtful that anything would be happening in the economy at all.
