After hitchhiking for three hours, from university to back home, on a cold Winter's night long ago, then what better for a good warm up than cod and chips?. Oh! The memories!

Anybody used to hitch?...... don't tend to see many nowadays. 🙁

When I was younger, I would hitch all the time, it was better and cheaper than the bus. You just have to be careful who you take a ride with.

Well there's that whole cult of people who have exchanged cod for pillock.
I don't know what's wrong with people these days.

The times of polycoddism are gone. We now believe in One Cod.

Well, there's the Cod, the batter and the divine chips to accompany it all.
Seems pretty poly to me. Well, in a parrot like sense at the least.

That's not polycoddism, that's the Fishy Trinity.

I used to hitchhike a lot in high school and college. Got some great rides with some interesting people. One was with two (decent looking) girls who had a case of cold beer in the car with them (Jackpot!). We cruised around for a while, goofing around, drinking, listening to music and stuff. No lovin' but still, a fun ride.

I once hitched from Boston to the University of Rhode Island in the middle of the night by myself. Also, from Providence, RI to Boston once after a concert.

I once hitched from Springfield Mass. to Misquamicut Beach RI, took nearly all day, and I only got to swim for an hour or so before heading back.
