Damnit, Noodles! Why do you always have to beat me to the punch?

The Bible scares the hell out of me.

Again with the topological theism! If hell really is internal, that might explain my acid reflux today.

NO!

I *am* saying that if he wants to insult me by calling my religion rubbish, then he should expect fallout. He may have the right, but that does not mean he should do it at every opportunity. And what a lot of people here are failing to realize is, yes, he has the right to say it (even though most people who were not brought up by wolves would not say it), but I also have the right to become inflamed by his inflammatory post and post whatever I want back to him.

Are *you* saying that I should sit here and be insulted and yet shouldn't speak *my* mind here? The way I see it, he attacked me, and everyone who believes in the Holy Bible. Why am I being attacked for giving it back to him as he gave it to me? He should *expect* to be attacked back for what he said, and that, my dear, as I pointed out originally, is the definition of troll. He expected it (or he should have, if he has a brain), and he got it.

I thought I explained this just a minute ago.

I think you're confused.

His original post wasn't even directed at you, it was a general statement on his view of the effects of religion. He is free to post a general statement about his disdain for religion, as is anyone else. I, for one, happen to agree with him, am I now trolling?

That you hold religion close to your heart is your choice, but ...[text shortened]... houldn't stand up and say he thinks religion is bad? If not, what in the hell do you mean?
What?

If he did, in fact, stand up at a KKK meeting and say that, he would not be directing it AT anyone in particular either. Would that keep him from getting his ass kicked? No.

As I posted on the previous page, you seem to be confused about people's rights to opinion. 'God is fiction' is not an insult, it's an opinion. 'You are a moron for worshipping god' is an insult, not an opinion. Whilst the line between the two sometimes becomes blurred (for example 'please tell me you don't really believe in that rubbish, that might make you a fool'😉, in this case your outrage is misplaced; we're not in church.

Did you wilfully choose to ignore my point that this is not a Christian forum?

Are you suggesting that anyone that speaks out against god publicly should have their ass kicked?

Your example of a KKK meeting is bizarre, are you suggesting RHP forums are equivalent? Even if you aren't, are you suggesting that this is a Christian forum and he shouldn't stand up and say he thinks religion is bad? If not, what in the hell do you mean?
Did you even read my other post about there are things that civilized people just don't do? And how if they disregard common decency (or as in the KKK example, common sense) and do it anyway, they should suffer the consequences? Did you miss that?

You should try attacking the ideas, rather than the bearer of the ideas; divert the flame, rather than blaming the flamethrower.

Whether this is or is not a Christian forum doesn't enter into it. He insulted my religion, and by extension, me. Do you often tell your friends what a fat whore their mom is?

And stop putting words in my mouth.

Yes, I read it and I totally disagree with your logic and your viewpoint in general. You just cannot demand that people cannot express their opinions in a public arena.
