Have just recently subscribed to internet broadband services, and started to download movies. But am still very new and would like to know more. Have downloaded/installed bitcomet; downloaded some movies, but would like to understand more about the followings:
1. What is a 'PEER'
2. What is a 'SEED'
3. What is a 'HEALTH'
4. Why are the movies downloading a different speed
5. Is there anything I can do to increase the speed of downloading
6. Anyone knows of other websites from which I can download FREE movies?

A Seed is someone with the entire file on there hard drive who is sharing them to everyone who wants to download them.
Heath is the amount of complete copys of a file that are being shared, if this is under one then you will not be able to get it all unless someone else seeds or more peers come on who have downloaded different parts of it.
Different speeds because you are downloading from different numbers of people who have different internet connection speeds.
Run less programs, faster internet connection, use utorrent instead of bitcomet.

Anyway, just to make sure, is it better to have many peers or lesser? Are you saying that too many peers with too many different speed would actually slow down the downloading process?... or is it the other way round?... i.e. can help to speed it up?

The post that was quoted here has been removedlmao - yeah right!! People said the same thing about the music industry but in effect what has happened is that the 'shop' price of albums have dropped dramatically in the last few years. The music industry is still going strong after over a decade of users downloading albums. These industries make more than enough money as it is and if the end result is cheaper 'legit' DVDs/CDs then all the better for Joe Public.
I still buy those DVDs and CDs that I truly enjoy but if you just want to watch something then there is nothing wrong with just downloading it to see what it is like.

Sieges ain't that modern. The first evidence of them is from the c.3000BC. Over 5000 years ago in ancient Egypt.
But I presume you mean chess sieges, I haven't played one either so I don't really know nor do I want to.
