Hi, i not so sure if you guys can help. But maybe someone has same problem or something.

I just bought laptop for me with windows xp home edition. Problem is i cant log on msn at all from laptop. Computer in my home it work fine. But laptop no. Everytime i open a internet explorer window it ask me for username and password. I connect to internet through username and password. So in my home it ask me for username and password then there is check box where it say "save username/password" something like that. Username and password then saved all time. But in laptop whenever i open internet explorer i have to write username/password. Option for saving username/password not there. So everytime i open internet explorer i have to type username/password and password not saved. In firefox username/password get saved. i even made it default explorer but still cant log to msn. I need internet explorer so i can. I downloaded internet explorer 7 and still same problem. ONe friend told me to format and get other windows. But it new computer, dont know why this. Even when i listen music on realplayer, whenever i change song it ask me for username/password so it can load album or whatever, any link i go it not work. So anyone know how to get this check box so i can save username/password to pc. In my home it work normal on other pc, but this no 🙁

tnx

I think it is because you are signed in on your PC instead of your laptop, I get this when I use my laptop at home then my laptop in work.

Could you remove your user settings under your "users accounts" in your control panel?

Are there any other users involved in either PC or laptop?

laptop have nothing to do with pc in my home. Laptop is mine no one touch it. Just internet explorer on laptop not like other pc in my home. Cant save username/password. there is no option for saving when there should be option like all other pc.

are you classed as an administrator on your laptop?

goto user settings and check, this may be another reason

Solution: Uninstall both IE and Messenger and switch to Firefox and Googletalk or Skype permanently.
