Hey guys, what questions did you get asked during your interview?

Any help/advise?

I've got one coming up and wanted to prepare myself.

I know that there will be 2-3 people interviewing me. That's the way it's done now days I hear.

Are you willing to take it up the bung for the company?

Will you bend over whenever we ask?

Are you willing to be passed over for promotions despite exemplary performance, recommendations from coworkers and even clients?

Will you take a 10% pay cut and demotion or our meager severence package when we tell you that your position is being eliminated and moved overseas?

Those are a good start. Might not ask you to your face, but you know they want to....

Actually, I am not trying to be a jerk.

I am just frustrated by my own job currently. I am pretty much in the situation that I describe.....

*EDIT*

If I were being a jerk as you are infering with your "Online Integrity" reference, I would tell him not to bother and that he is worthless and not going to get the job so what is the point....but I am not saying that....am I?

I'm sorry! I didn't read the whole thing.

I thought this was 'casting couch' questions.

😉

Edit! You going to cry now?

Nope, I was just griping out loud since I cannot do so here at work. Just found out 4 hours ago this was happening so it is rather a fresh wound....

Thanks mokko.... I wish that was all of it.

What really sucks is that I just refied my home and took out a little of the equity to do some more updating and increased my house payment....and will either have to find a new job or lose salary and stay were I am.
Joyful Joyful, eh?

Maybe a bigger and better job is just around the corner. If you waste too much time worrying about what you've lost it makes it difficult to focus on the things you have to gain.

Chin up. 🙂

Starting the search in the morning. Don't feel right searching for a job while I am at work....something just wrong about doing that. 🙂

I had to take a personality test once. "What are your biggest strengths/weaknesses" is common. My answer to what my weakness is is that I am a bit absent minded...this one seems safe to have as a weakness. "Where do you see yourself in XX years" is common too.

I don't go to job interviews. I run my own company.

I they are young, female and attractive and will sleep with the boss that is usually a big plus. Sometimes I even get people that can do the job as well which is a really big bonus.

Of course if they are ugly old gay sods with 1 leg I am now required to employ them as I would fall foul of Employment Legislation.

The first question I got in my job interview was what I like to do outside work. I was prepared for all kinds of work-related questions, but this really threw me off (I still don't know whether that was the intention or whether it was a question meant to create a relaxed atmosphere). The rest was more like what I had expected - they told me about the job, asked about my expectations, experience and strengths, and talked about some practical stuff. The whole thing was a bit awkward because it was via telephone and in English (which my boss doesn't speak too well), and they didn't have speakers, so only the person at the phone could hear what I was saying and had to tell it to the others. They had asked a German to join them to explain some things in German which they found difficult to explain in English. The nice thing about having the job interview on the phone is that you don't have to worry about how to dress or body language. I was sitting comfortably on the floor.
