Does anyone know what to do if you iPod freezes? It's not responding after I plug it in and I can't turn it off. Suggestions?

Hold down the middle button and "menu" at the same time for about 10-15 sec. It should reboot the iPod.

Mine did that, and it started heating up as well. Eventually it just stopped of its own accord, but that was at least an hour or more (maybe MUCH more) later.

i don't know but you could try the last link below, on the ipod diagnostic mode (the other links are searches and search results):

Thanks, that worked. I read that in the booklet, but I think I read it wrong. Got my tunes back now, so it's all good. 🙂

Thanks, again.

Edit: And thanks for the other responses, as well.
