'smart is as smart does' as forrest gump might say, and people who go around touting high IQ test scores are not smart, they're desperate, friendless geeks, seeking attention and acceptance. if they were truly smart they would use their intelligence to become rich and buy an entourage like all the other popular people do.
Yes, you can. There are well-attended events where many people do just that.
I also took on of the online tests which came out to 140 but I don't really put a lot of stock in the results, the questions seemed way too easy compared to Mensa. I got a pretty good score on that one and I can assure you the questions on the Mensa tests are a lot harder than those online versions, which usually want money for something or other. So if you score high you are maybe more likely to spend money.
One thing about the online test I took, I only missed two questions and it came out at 140. How much higher can it go if you get 100%?
Miss one and it gives you 150, miss none and it calls you 160? See what I mean?

I am almost sure that you are in the top 2% of the world. Maybe even 1 out of 50. 🙄
According to Mensa 136 will land you in that top 2% they're looking for.
Remember, only 1 in 50 people qualify.
I always heard that 150 and above was genius. (Gates, Fischer, and Einstein were in the 180s)
142-150 is near-genius. Defined as being able to fool many people into thinking you're a genius. LOL

Originally posted by Red Nightjust two days ago, I saw a finnish mensa representive on tv. she said that about half the people who take the test, pass it. her explanation was that "only those who know they'll do well take the test". although there probably is some truth in that, I think the gap between 2% and 50% passing should tell them something else...
