It appears everyone who attended the meet-up in Dublin at the weekend had a fine time - evidence here in the photos ([eventid]2[/eventid]). I would like to thank Cadwah on behalf of all those who attended for organising this one.

BTW : If you can arrange a "Guinness consumption competition" to be held alongside the chess tournament for the next one, I'll get my flight booked, because I might even be able to win a nice little shiny trophy too...it looks very cool indeed. 😵

The next meet up, Hmmmm, I am pretty sure that all that turned up will be up for another. I know that a lot of people showed interest but had to pull out last minute for whatever reason. A few ex-pats requested a meet up near Christmas. Maybe between Christmas and New Year.
I think we let the dust settle on this and if there is enough people wanting to meet up at Christmas I will organise it.
Thanks once again to all those that showed up, It was a laugh!
You pose for one photo pretending to cry over the board for a laugh, and Huck makes it his avatar, photo and screensaver, and Cads posts it twice from different angles so it looks like a series of different games... (you could at least put them together!! boo!).
Those captions were great, Cads.
I think the Guinness drinking competition could well be arranged, Russ. There was a rather unofficial one running simulatneously. The results more or less ran conversely to the chess tourny placings...
Anyhoo...
