I remember Beadle in "Games for a laugh". (or I think that's what it was called... on ITV in the late 70's and early 80's).

They had that guy dressed up in a kilt.
And they did the competition with women... they had to stick their hand into a box (the audience could see into the box) and were told there was a rat in it.

Hilarious.
