I think you are looking at this thread killing stuff from the wrong perspective.
It would appear that the last poster in any thread said something so correct that no
one could refute or improve upon it, hence the last post must be genius.

Instead of the dubious honor you make it out to be, in fact it should be a badge of honor.

EDIT: In a technicality, wouldn't Russ and Chris be the thread killing champions?
Aren't they the ones who close them preventing further posting?
