@petewxyz saidHave you tried kedgeree?
Love egg fried rice. Mushrooms, chicken, prawn and onions, but why not kippers? I am gonna go for it. That sort of comfort food mixes with smoked fish flavour in my head. What's the worst that could happen??
@great-big-stees saidare you getting paid by the comma?
I never feed anything, to any of our pets, that I have not, personally, tried.
@ponderable saidKippers are a traditional English breakfast too.
That was what I thought. It is eaten for breakfast in the north of Germany. (from the fridge)
@wolfgang59 saidYes, had it in a pub in a Cheshire pub after a walk. Excellent comfort food, more places should do it.
Have you tried kedgeree?
Traditionally a breakfast dish but we have it for dinner.
@great-big-stees saidWith a fork and watch out for the bones, maybe a splash of vinegar. 😉

@wolfgang59 saidArbroath Smokies straight from the smoker with your fingers.
Kippers are a traditional English breakfast too.
Normally kept in fridge they are bought in vacuum
sealed packaging with a "use by date" of about a month.
They are usually warmed up but not cooked.
@wolfgang59 saidEver since I first heard "Breakfast in America" I wondered, "What in the hell are 'kippers'?"

@petewxyz saidMy kind of food; rice, mushrooms and onion are so versatile and go with anything. I love oily fish with hot/cold rice, coleslaw and kimchi. Or I have white fish with rice and a leek, mushroom & white wine sauce.
