Hmm, don't remember that being much good - entertaining but nothing astounding.

Ditto. The other 4 are great, maybe with the exception of White.

Well, Kisielewski was dying when he made White.

Really? I didn't know that. Kieslowsky (sp?) was a bit hit and miss for me.

The Decalog is a good example with some great stuff mangled with others not so up to par.

Geez, not a great list of films! Of course, I'm not the average chick-flick sort of person.

Movies I like:

A Beautiful Mind, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Twister, Tootsie, Backdraft, Turk182, The Truman Show, Hook, The Birdcage, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, anything from Pixar...Hmmmm.

My girlfriend is dragging me along to see an outdoor screening of dirty dancing tonight.

Having never seen it can somebody please reassure me that there is a small chance that this film is not a big pile of crap :-(

Mrbobs, I am afraid that you have not appreciated just how much this film sucks, I believe rbmorris' comment to be somewhat of an understatement. Feigning an incurable disease or severing a limb to get out of going would be totally within the norm.

People who liked Harold and Maude,

Why did you like the film? I saw it but didn't think too highly of it but since it was a long time ago I may have missed things I would now appreciate. What would you say was special about it?

Really. I think according to the Geneva Convention, you're not required to see it with anyone unless you're married or using it as a leverage for after-movie activities (which you won't be able to enjoy because you'll be in a coma). Run. Far.
