@Very-Rusty saidI noticed that, too, independently. That's a nice suggestion you have made.
diver has changed considerably over the years and perhaps you may find it in your heart to give him a little slack?

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidNot to propose a technical solution for a social problem, but maybe have Russ restrict access to the Debates Forum to people 18 and older, where they can enjoy the milieu of bratty potty-mouths?
This tends to happen mostly in the Debates forum.
@The-only-Mr-T said1) I'm sure he only meant at RHP. Why not have an oasis here free of foul language?
1. Are you going to try and censor the entire world while you're at it? 'foul language' is everywhere.
2. Some comments and people don't deserve a debate.
3. How old is your granddaughter? The minimum age in Rhp is 13, what language do you think 13 year olds are using? It's a lot worse than anything you'll see here.
I'm sure Russ will be happy to hear from you, he won't at all direct you to alerting the post.
Snowflake.
2) True.
3) That would be none of your business; however, I do understand your point.
Then again, this is an international site with members and visitors from many cultures, and some families around the globe do raise their kids to avoid vulgarity.
Some might even say that the use of vulgarities indicates diminished executive function (self-restraint) and a lack of creativity.
@Arkturos saidI concur on all points, especially that no technical tweak will 'fix' the issue. People should restrain themselves, or get booted off the site. That includes the poster who repeatedly addresses other posters as 'little feller'; it might have been mildly amusing once, but it's demeaning.

@moonbus saidSome folks, in spite of their age, never grow up.😢

I almost never participate in the Forums because I see so many disrespectful people & posts there, but I do check out the Forums. I have a whole lot of people on my Banned List simply because of what I see in the Forums. I don't understand why such people are allowed to continue on the Forums. They should be banned from the Forums entirely. That would certainly make the Forums more useful.
@moonbus saidAll the forums are sinking just like the clan system. If you take a small handful of posters out of each topic there is no one left, so it’s easy to see the why especially when the forums are advertised as a large part of the site. I’ve never seen the person you mention use foul language, funny you look over Sonhouse, king David, and Sue to mention a few who do it non stop. If this person was liberal he would be just fine in your eyes🙄.

@My-King-And-I saidIsn't RHP a UK based site?
The foul language is coming from the leftist democrats and the moderator(s) are leftist democrats.
Fix that problem first.
On that basis, how is it leftist democrats? Perhaps (that misunderstanding) is the thing that needs to get fixed first?
Edit: As an aside, I have a moderate interest in world politics, but based in London I really don't know a great deal about what separates the Democrats in the US from the Republicans (except perhaps in regards to gun control). - I imagine this is the case for most people in the UK. - I know you America chaps think the world revolves around you, but we do happen to have our own political system across the pond that is not akin to your own.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidIt’s easy to see if you read through the debate forums and see which country 99% of the post are referring too. You have left libs running you country, what are the differences there between left and right, do they compare to here?

@mike69 saidIs the Labour government (who I didn't vote for) in the UK akin to Leftist libs in the US? - I really don't know. We have a separate Liberal Democrat party (who are not that popular) and Labour is far less to the left than it was decades ago.

In regards to Debates, they are indeed dominated by American politics. But that is a reflection of the makeup of the membership, not the owners of the site.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke
I’ve noticed that there isn’t as much of a difference between left and right in other places like here. I don’t think the majority of people posting in debates are from here, so I have to assume their countries liberals and leaders are the same in thought since they support everything liberals say from here like it’s fact and without question. It would be interesting to know the make up of the site, and on another note guns are nowhere near the top of the difference between left and right here.
