from wiki:
"The forty days represent the time Jesus spent in the desert, where according to the Bible he endured temptation by Satan.[2]"
Just because it was hot in the desert doesnt mean he's been tempted by satan, it just means jesus was a pussey🙁
"Different churches calculate the forty days differently."
Eh? so for some churches it lasts longer or shorter?:p
Ok lol, western christianity doesnt count the 6 sundays, since they celebrate "mini-Easter"s. never heard of that.
I know this is from wiki, so it might not be the right way to bash on christianity...But u must at least admit that muslims are way tougher considered the fasting!

daylight hours, but feast once the sun goes down. They're a rough bunch,
them Muslims!
Originally posted by Jigtiei dont think they feast when the sun goes down, then they just eat...then after an amount of days (also 40? that would be very suspicious:p), they are done eating in the dark and then they party!😀

I can tell you: if they got the means, they feast.
Funny thing is that here in Sweden during the summer time it's daylight
almost all around the clock, and in two years (I think) their ramadan will
occur during such a month. I asked one of them how they'll deal with
that, 'cause obviously they can't fast for real an entire month, and the
answer was that they use the daylight hours from their own home
countries. So, when it's dark in Somalia (where this particular man comes
from) he and his family can eat, even though it is daylight here in the
north.
Flexible, this religion thing, don't you think?
Originally posted by zozozozoWell, it's usually flexible when it suites the leaders, and relentless when it
maybe in this case flexible yes, but also needed.
If religions would really be flexible, overall, i dont think there would have been any war!
Ok...maybe only america killing for oil😉
doesn't. Same as politics, I guess.
