I was thinking about my future and i was wondering, what is the most important rule to life? In my opion it isn't the Golden Rule.

I reckon the most important rule to life is to live it. If you want to do something, don't just think about it, don't just talk about it, damn well do it. I'm not going to preach all that crap about living every day to the full, or like it's your last, that's not always practical. But make sure you enjoy life, live it to the full. Whatever that means to you.

Ah,yes,very argueable rule.I try to live by it,I do say TRY!But I sure don't want everyone to treat me as they would like to be treated,lots of sicko's out there,brrrrr.

My advise would be to not focus on materialistic things.Enjoy your life,take care of what's really important,health,your loved ones,happyness.And above all,DO NOT WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN,MAKE THEM HAPPEN!

So, if you don't particularly care about people, and are inclined to neither give nor receive aid from them, then not offering assistance to another in need would satisfy this criterion. The problem with the golden rule is that it relativizes obligation to the individual's preferences.
