wow prayers answered at last. a true way of measureing a players worth. some players here might oppose the move due to their high ratings obtained through timeouts ect.im all for it.

Client which also supports bullet chess (means that lag correlation is necessity) would be nice.

I see no reason why not.

maybe that could be tweaked into a post mortem analysis board without too much additional work, for two players to go over games in real time as well? that would be great for study purposes.

Some recent server side changes I have made on uChess removed the limitation on the number of concurrent users supported. I am now in a position to integrate the live chess client into RHP (unrated games, just for fun).

Is there any interest in this?

Dumb question:
How could we use this new functionality?

Would it be available to non-sub scum, and if so, would that count as one of the six games? Probably yes to the second if yes to the first, but thought I'd ask anyway.
It would be good if we could use it too. I would like to. So yes please, Russ. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

look out here comes my star. i wont have much time for chess in the coming months and it will be so good just to log on and play a few quick games and go again. it would really suit a life busy rhp player as so many players leave this site due to time commitments they could now stay, play some quick games with friends and go .come back ect without being committed because of timeouts ==== player freedom & choice. going to get my star now!

Why not just add a timelimit of say 10 minutes? Or am I missing something
here? πŸ˜•
Just logged on and I think this would be the better idea.

The option to start a game with a limit whether this was per move or per game.

Lets have the ability to start games with say a 1 or 2 hour limit per person.

Take a look at uChess - the interface will the same initially, if I do this.

The only way to progress is thru change. I support whatever you want to try. And keep in mind that if it doesn't work out you can always dump it.

Cheers, and thanx for trying to make our site better! πŸ™‚

I would like this feature. But I would prefer an option to play rated games. Could RHP not keep a seperate rating list for blitz games, independent of the main rating list?

Also it would be nice if the games were recorded and stored somewhere so that they could be played over and analysed. For instance, if a couple of the top players played each other and one of them produced a masterpiece, it could be posted for everyone to enjoy.
I'll see what the initial interest is, and then if people take to it, I can think about adding rated games. It would definitely be a separate rating.

I've been interested in this since uchess first came around. So yes.

It would be nice to have a seperate ratings system and log the games, but I understand the need to do it in stages.

Also, will the standard RHP filters work? Such as IGNORE/BUDDY lists and ratings limits?

I'd support it as a subscriber-only feature as well.

Too bad this didn't happen when I had more time for chess. But I like it!

Supported.

For a true measure though, why not use the community votes section you spent so long developing?

I will try the client as it is on uChess now - and if people like it, and want me to take it further, I will. It can be expanded to use ignore lists, but obviously not from day 1. I'll try to get a test version up early next week.
