How could we use this new functionality?
Originally posted by xlchainsawlook out here comes my star. i wont have much time for chess in the coming months and it will be so good just to log on and play a few quick games and go again. it would really suit a life busy rhp player as so many players leave this site due to time commitments they could now stay, play some quick games with friends and go .come back ect without being committed because of timeouts ==== player freedom & choice. going to get my star now!
you will get a subscription from me for this effortπ

Why not just add a timelimit of say 10 minutes? Or am I missing something
here? π
The option to start a game with a limit whether this was per move or per game.
Lets have the ability to start games with say a 1 or 2 hour limit per person.

Cheers, and thanx for trying to make our site better! π
Originally posted by David TebbI'll see what the initial interest is, and then if people take to it, I can think about adding rated games. It would definitely be a separate rating.
I would like this feature. But I would prefer an option to play rated games. Could RHP not keep a seperate rating list for blitz games, independent of the main rating list?
Also it would be nice if the games were recorded and stored somewhere so that they could be played over and analysed. For instance, if a couple of the top players played each other and one of them produced a masterpiece, it could be posted for everyone to enjoy.

It would be nice to have a seperate ratings system and log the games, but I understand the need to do it in stages.
Also, will the standard RHP filters work? Such as IGNORE/BUDDY lists and ratings limits?
I'd support it as a subscriber-only feature as well.
Too bad this didn't happen when I had more time for chess. But I like it!
Originally posted by tmetzlerI will try the client as it is on uChess now - and if people like it, and want me to take it further, I will. It can be expanded to use ignore lists, but obviously not from day 1. I'll try to get a test version up early next week.
