Some recent server side changes I have made on uChess removed the limitation on the number of concurrent users supported. I am now in a position to integrate the live chess client into RHP (unrated games, just for fun).
Is there any interest in this?

i'm just worried it might skew the theme of this site, correspondence chess
Look at google - started out as a web search engine, but is now much more. If they'd not looked to grow, they wouldn't be here now.

Make it like a siege. Isolated from the main activity.
Why don't people just go to Uchess! 😕:'(
I like the idea. But I have some questions:
1) In so far as it's feasible to use them in real time games will databases be allowed?
2) I'm stuck with a legacy browser for the moment (Mozilla 1.4) will legacy browsers be able to render this?
3) Will I be able to watch other people's in progress games and will there be a kibitzer room? (More of a suggestion than a question.)
Originally posted by DeepThoughtYes YES YES... cc is great, real time is better, and I echo the questions above...

You are adding value/interest for all visitors to this site if you do this, one could go elsewhere (Uchess, etc) for said features but all the posters here are, well, here already. A couple more ideas like this...😉

Originally posted by RussI think that ratings would be a worthwhile investment. IMHO that is.😞
I plan to have something available this afternoon. (GMT)
I will post in this thread with the link when ready.
Just to set expectations, it looks just like uCHess with RHP themed colours. (No new features are planned until I know it is worth the investment.)
