Nearly all sportsmen and women use insults and winding up techniques during games. As Lineker said after the incident, that happen's like every five minutes during games so he should be able to take it, whatever the insult.
I've played badminton and football. I never insulted anyone, nor did I ever dive, nor did I ever deliberately try to kick anyone.
But, anyone who insulted me deliberately, or even worse: kick me deliberately, I punched in the face and kicked about the field or court like I was booting an old and leaky football around.
Yes, I did get sent off (and got banned from competition badminton). But that just made the ref's life insecure.
Obviously I'm not a teenager anymore, but if I'm in a bad mood and someone insults me. They go down.
Good on Zidane. He's more a hero now than ever!
It's amazing how all great legends have bad sides. I mean, even God (although some still refer to him as Maradona) got banished for coke sniffing.

How though, what would he have done that he failed to do for 110 minutes otherwise?
I'm just tired of all this football talk and decided to propaganda against the italian nation for no reason. 🙂

Oh stop it! 😠Italy would have lost and you know it!!!
Italians are known for their water flour mushy thing going on inside their heads. If I can't outrun them, let's trip them. Or better yet. Let's have it seem like they're tripping me.
Italians! They're no good for anything. No good I tell ya'! In thirty or so years we will all look back on this da ...[text shortened]... of... uhm... well, a disclaimer. So don't be mad at me. I'm just the messenger. 😀
Originally posted by asromacalcio😵 Yea. Friends. That's what I want more of. Italy. Where wine flows and their women enjoy me. 😀 Of course, they always ask for God's forgiveness, as any good, respectable catholic would. They even do it during the act sometimes. Feeling good makes them feel guilty somehow. 🙄
Grrrr. You dare to not be serious? What, you come here to make friends or something?
Friends? 🙂

haha, this proves the theory: Argentinians and Italians are all the same, lol!
stocken, do you think it's the right time to publicly voice the "Disturbed Ingerlund Elfs Itching To Assasin Lame Italians" Association? A.k.a. D.I.E. I.T.A.L.I.

That's the spirit. You gotta thank heavens for those disturbed Ingerlund elfs. They may just rescue us yet from the italian threat.
Going to expand on that, this issue has got my goat a little.....
The only thing in the world I have a strong opinion about is violence against women. Some men justify their actions because their spouses were "asking for it." It is this line of reasoning that I take exception with. I've heard about nine different reports as to what Matarazzi actually said. To me it's irrelevant, no words can justify the action Zinedine Zidane took as far as I'm concerned.
Ok sure, Matarazzi isn't a woman, but my thinking on the subject still overlaps a tad. The reasoning being that he was playing on the worlds largest stage. That it was his last game, so he can't get a ban, sends a subliminal message to the entire world that violence is ok when someone says something you don't like.
It's not, there's no excuse.
Ok, nothing is going to happen to Zidane, but he has my eternal disapproval. Hardly a fitting punishment, but it's all I got.
Originally posted by thetank444Actually he has to serve a ban if he ever decides to coach, but yes. I agree with your sentiments. Especially considering he is a role model to many children, who no doubt witnessed this.
