It's a sunday so you can't go to a doctor unless it's an emergency, which they wouldn't think this is, I just have to wait.
It is abit better after a few hours sleep but it is still there, my muscles ache abit too now.
Must be a virus, probably of the influenza type.

Good luck with that.

What sort of heating do you have?

I am in Scotland at the moment.

The reason I mention heating is to rule out Carbon monoxide poisoning, this would come on suddenly and would present the symptoms you have described so far.

Give us some more juicy symptoms.

It's just the usual central heating things.

But we do have damp in the house, it's growing up my wall by my bed 😕

Scotland, bet it's cold up there now! It's freezing here!

Does fresh air improve your state?

To cold for words, can't wait to leave (Up here in Scotland).

If you are using a gas boiler for your central heating and it has not been checked recently (as a student, you may be living in rented accommodation, it is a legal requirement for your landlord to have it checked yearly and in some cases when a new occupant moves in) then it could be that it is not working efficiently.

Also poor ventilation at this time of year when its cold, the windows and doors are always closed and when open, are not open for long causes stagnant air to build up.

Edit: added some links to back up them fancy words 🙂

Not that much but a little maybe.

I bet you can't! Where you going to after Scotland?

Our boiler was checked the day before we moved in, we got the certificate from the landlord, it culd be the stagnant air though as most of the time the windows and doors are shut, just have to see what happens I guess.

It could be any number of things, as your avid readers have stated.

In order for me to help further I am going to need you to send me a pint of fresh blood, your own preferably although that of your neighbour will suffice.

Please use a suitable container (I prefer using an old milk bottle, with a plastic bag as a lid with an elastic band to keep the contents from spilling).

Please make sure the knife is clean before stabbing your arm.

And use a recommended postal carrier for the delivery.

Note: To everyone not welsh or over 18, The above is an attempt at humour, please do not attempt the above, it will hurt and for those astute enough to see I have not actually given an address to send the blood, will result in a complete waste of time and blood.

Please do give blood though (But only at recognised places and by a qualified phlebotomist)

Hope your feeling better EO

Rate your pain from 1-10.
Think of the pain as a colour.
Think of a nice 'pain-free' colour that you would like it to be.
Close eyes.. picture a balloon bobbing in front of you, painful colour.
'Blow' an amount of whatever colour it needs to be to alter bad colour to good colour. (eg. if bad colour red, good colour blue... blow some beautiful cool, friendly blue into it. Imagine the colour changing into, say, a purple. Continue to blow more blue until the balloon is a shade of blue, even though not perfect.)
Allow friendly balloon to float away.
Open eyes and rate pain.
PS Edit... From the outset, dont think pain...think colour. Don't think pain... simply ask yourself what colour your nice new balloon is.

Damn, I forgot to read the bit at the bottom before starting the process of collecting my blood for you 😕
I guess now you will have to test the blood as it is ready for departure 😉
Thanks mate!

I haven't read all four pages of replies so excuse my response if you already received this information, but another cause of headaches which alot of people are unaware of is Caffiene Withdrawls...Caffiene withdrawls can cause debilitating headaches on a scale as bad as migraines. They can come on as soon as 24 hours after your last beverage and can become severe within 12 to 24 hours after that. Times will vary depending on your daily consumption and how fast your metabolism is. Getting caffiene back into your system as soon as possible can subdue the pain incredibly fast. The only over the counter pain meds that work with caffiene withdrawl headaches are the ones that contain a dose of caffiene. For general headaches, Niacin (I believe is part of the vitamin B suplements) helps open restricted corpusles promoting better blood flow which allows more oxygen to the brain and can sometimes help with headache pain...the side affects are flushing and itching and are usually listed on the bottle which go away within about an hour. If you look around there are brands of Niacin that don't have those side affects.
Everyone has provided you with excellent info on possible causes and relief for non-medical related headaches but like others have said, if you haven't been diagnosed with migraines or reasons for your headaches you should see a medical professional as soon as you can.
