Usually they are ready by about 4 PST or shortly thereafter. I was gambling they'd be ready now too. Oh well.

Yup, look to Arles; they allied with the Heathers against the Republic. They broke three separate peace agreements. Now where are they? And to add insult to injury, Bavaria tried to trick him into getting destroyed on his own last turn!

Look to Poland; they allied with Bavaria. The Heathers were supposed to "help" them against the Teutons. So the ...[text shortened]... I agree with ya, Princess, people should look, but you're not gonna like what they see.
That's funny, the story I heard told a completely different tale. It concerns Arles getting the shaft from its "ally" Venice and being deemed "unfit" and eliminated, no matter how many other realms you had to drag into it with the promise of territory (which was later rescinded, of course).

You heard wrong as usual. Arles was never my ally; we were at war from turn 2 on when he decided to invade Italy. He broke 3 separate peace agreements. And the disposition of the territory of Arles has been decided by negotiation between the parties and I am keeping my end of the deal. Anything else that you don't know that I can help you with?

In the New World,
There will be a city of Lions and Tigers.
They will suffer hundreds of years,
On fields of despair and agony.

The Heros are dead? This is no surprise, and they've done their service.

Bless them!

Hungary proudly congratulates the Budan Infantry for their brilliant defense of the Wallachian border fort. A large group of the Venetian pirates has been killed or captured. There was some loss of life among the Hungarian army, but surprisingly little. Venice's raiding party has been driven to the former Byzantine provisions on the far side of Serbia. Soon they will be driven to the sea and will no longer trouble our lands.

Hungary lost 6 Hungarian Light Infantry (equivalent to Peasant Rabble elsewhere) while the pirates lost 4 Elite Marines, 2 Crossbowmen, and 2 Heavy Infantry. Henrik the Horseman got his first battle out of the way and learned a bit about how to coordinate infantry and cavalry.

The first Balkan invasion accomplished its mission; the next will be there to stay. Looks like the Heathers even when they win a few battles lose; Saxony went -20 in province Gold, Hungary -2 and Roum -18. Way to go, gals!
