The first Balkan invasion accomplished its mission; the next will be there to stay. Looks like the Heathers even when they win a few battles lose; Saxony went -20 in province Gold, Hungary -2 and Roum -18. Way to go, gals!
Oh you mean my gift to the Khan. Pfft.
Originally posted by rwingettI attacked Northumbria, which was gifted to Saxony last turn by England. There were no Saxons there to defend it when the Aquitainians landed and the English there are allied to Aquitaine, so they did nothing to defend Saxony's province.
What's going on with Aquitaine and England now? They seem to be co-existing in Northumbria.
Norway just can't seem to put away Denmark, can they? Shame.
Originally posted by rwingettOne province and one unit, I'd say Lithuania's cooked. Who's next, Great Khan? The way it's WWI everywhere else, you might wind up with a solo win.
Will Lithuania be the first realm completely exterminated?

Working on the power ratings; they'll be up in a half-hour or so.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungHow much damage in gold did the invasion in the Balkans do to ya, Sport? All that lost province revenue. I'm guessing something like 75 at least when it's all done. Plus you lost some units, too. That's your problem; you don't take all the angles into consideration. You'll also be losing 6 gold every turn because you had to cede Achaia. So it wasn't a bad couple of turns work for a small force that also made you divert over 2000+ CS.
I wonder how long 2 gold a turn would take to pay off the price of the units you lost?
Originally posted by no1marauderOh, no, the invasion was very well done. I'm just surprised you decided not to pull them back out after they were done? It's not like our navy's gonna stop you. That's where your plan failed...you shouldn't have lost those men at all.

I'm sticking to the same formula and it gives Sicily a razor thin margin for 2nd, but I don't believe it either. Lithuania is done; they have one unit left in one province. Acquitaine made a big jump mostly because those a bit ahead of them were in big battles with lots of losses, but he did increase his strength in all areas. Everybody actually moved.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungNo, the plan worked fine. It was a risk sending them into Wallachia, but I figured maybe you wouldn't send any there or not enough and I might be able to sneak into Translyvania. I'm keeping my eye on the prize; did you read my Proclamation? Those ships aren't getting out of Dalmatia, though I have a feeling someone slipped you info regarding another idea I had.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungI think the Horde should be above Sicily. Basically, I'm just giving a certain amount of points based on where you are in each of the categories. So if you're #1 in Province Gold, you get 115 points no matter what. The Horde's pretty far ahead of everybody else and getting close to double of Sicily's but Sicily is 6th in that category, so he got 90 points. I really don't want to tweak the formula while the game is ongoing because it will make it impossible to compare the present power ratings to prior one's, but if we do this again, I'll probably make some adjustments.

Originally posted by no1marauderOh, so maybe it should be "point per gold piece" or "point per HP" instead of "points for being in 4th place", is that what you're saying? Sounds like more work, but more accurate. You're doing a ton of work already though. Isn't it a pain to count everybody's values on everything?
