I thought you needed total gold within the coalition of 700. Anyway, that's all academic at the moment.
After the thrashing my army received, Gaynor the Damned will have to go back to military academy. Perhaps he still has "summoning sickness".

Are you hinting that you have played Magic the Gathering...

He's like a sliver though: gives bonuses to all of his kin.

Once. When I was drunk.

Base on what the site says a Coalition of two nations would need either 750 (2 major) or 680 (1 major and 1 minor) for a win.

A 160 CP force up against a possible couple thousand? Saxony made a strategic withdrawal.
I was under the impression that the Spanish sent in forces as well. If there was no battle, it makes sense.

Since it really no longer matters, I will respond to this.

From how it appears -
Arles attacked Lorraine alone while Saxony moved his forces back to Frisia thus claiming Lorraine without loss.
Aragon and Castile attempted attack on Swabia - that is where the spanish troops went. There was loss on both sides but the more significant loss was to the Spaniards.

From what I can see, a mighty battle ocurred and certainly the greatest since the game started. Castille lost its entire force of:
11 Spanish Knights
4 Light Cav

Aragon. Saxony and Bavaria also suffered major losses, but nothing to the same extent. It was close.

Can I keep the bones, please? It's a question of art...

With the loss of troops in that battle, there are enough bones to build you 2 churches and several altars...

Never trust a Heather, I say.

One battle should not decide a war where the countries who lost it still have large forces in the field, a strong defensive position and a safe source of supply.

War is the realm of uncertainty . . . . War is the realm of chance. . . . Two qualities are indispensable: first, an intellect that, even in the darkest hour, retains some glimmerings of the inner light which leads to truth; and second, the courage to follow this faint light wherever it may lead.

Carl Von Clausewitz

I dunno. I'm thinking of building a sister church in Alsace. Tell you what, I'll send Aragon some of his troops back. He should have lots to start building with:
Aragon lost: 5 HI; 4 LI; 4 Archers; 5 Light Cav; 9 Spanish Knights

If my numbers are wrong, please correct me. But the bones are a bit muddled.

EDIT: No wonder the peace offers are flowing in.

Won't get one from me; bring it on, Saxon punk. Or will you take a few months figuring out how to move one province like your Bavarian buddy? Tricks and fake peace offers won't work either, pal; you'll have to actually win a battle honestly for a change.

Okay, dream on dude.
Pray tell me how does one actually "move" a province? This is a new one to me. And if you want an honest battle, stop cowering behind the walls of Venice and come out. I guess this won't happen. Some of us don't need to read that turgid, immensely boring and ultimately irrelevant stuff Clausewitz wrote, to know that.

'move one province' is a distance.
