Whatever fate the gods decide for me, I accept with no regret.
I weep for a noble warrior who has lost his senses.

When you told me that you would be canceling our alliance, I told you that I understood, but I fear that I was mistaken.
I assumed that your decision was based solely on your insistence on being in a winning coalition, but it seems that you have got it into your head that your decision is somehow based on some sense of honor. This is not an issue of honor until you make it so (by impugning the character of Aragon's king), and then it gets, well, silly.
King Kodran the Inert, you have hesitated and dithered your way to the near-bottom of the pack of the remaining realms. Were it not for Aquitaine, the Saxons would have finished you off by now -- perhaps it was that crushing defeat you are pining for -- after Novgorod's despicable exit.
Moving against Aquitaine is not honorable. A truer friend you have not had in this game but, like a mad dog, you turn when someone else offers you a minor partnership in a victory that they will not see. You are not being offered this by your former foe because of any respect he might have for you but for the respect he has for the position he finds himself in. No, most honorable King of Vikings, you will not serve as Aragon's puppet, but puppet thou art nonetheless. It was I who appealed to your sense of honor and loyalty when I offered you the truth -- I was rebuffed because of it.
Some would rather lose than to not win. So be it. Your choice is made, but do not sully what I offered you -- friendship, continued protection, a chance to fight your enemies, honesty -- by confusing this with any twisted concept of a warrior's honor.

Tell me, since you now think you know so much about me, my motivation, and you know all the details of the bushwah that I've had to put up with in this game, do you think a "no truer friend" threatens another when they begin building ships? You threathened me, your sabre-rattling unconvincing I might add, because you didn't trust me to use those ships in partnership. No, you had to browbeat me into re-thinking my course of action. It's all well and fine as long as I follow your desires, but when I move to strengthen the security of my people, you tell me that I must desist. You and Saxony are quite alike in that wise.
I have had nothing against Aragon whatsoever, until I begin receiving missives admonishing me as to my "foolishness." You both are quite content that I stay in line and I must do only as you order? Perception is a funny thing, isn't it? You threaten me initially, then once I follow along, we're friends. Then, when I have a slim chance to succeed in this game, I'm told I've been dithering and hesitating? A good friend would have told me as much long before this. LMAO!
The Horde has never been my foe. Your facts need checking.
"Some would rather lose than to not win." Where is the winning in housekeeping in Scandanavia? Can you explain that to me?
I have done nothing in this game but try to play honorably, and to attempt to have a chance at victory. Your perceptions are just that and you are welcome to them, but I do not need your approval. I'm just shaking my head knowing that you, Duke Halga, like a good number of others, can't see that this is just a game.

Today is a good day to die, what!
However, I do not think it will be today, my Aragonese vulture....not today....
