I look forward to reading those memoirs.

Might as well start the post-mortem now, if anyone's still interested. KnightWulfe? What was your strategy...?

The orders went through, but the Golden Horde is now listed as an AI player.

Next turn, there should be Western forces capturing Crimea, which ought to speed things up considerably. Having the ability to build 4mp cavalry should get us out of this quickly.

I should be able to capture Novgorod (20 gold) and Minsk (18 gold) next turn. I suggest that the Hungarian consolidate his forces to recapture Warzaw and Transylvania. I have some forces that might be able to help you shoulder the load in Warzaw.

Then I assume my leaders have all tendered their resignations from the Mongol army?

You're welcome to declare victory any time now as far as I am concerned. Our deal was with respect to the Khan, not the Horde, and I don't care all that much about the territories we agreed I'd have. However it would have been nice if Morocco had given me those territories we'd agreed I'd have but he managed to nab from the Horde.

EDIT - Rob, Denisov the Lardass seems to have had a heart attack from all the exercise involved in walking up the stairs into Transylvania Castle, leaving Olympius in charge there. Khan and his blind buttbuddy are still there taunting El Kid from Zaporozia.

l tried to give you more - but as you did not have troops next to them it failed - the only one that worked was Ragusa. if you move troops closer it will work.

I'll start the process... simply select "respond to all" to the email I send you and indicate that you agree. We'll have to submit turns for this upcoming turn, though.

Thanks, Hungary.

Will we get a result file for the turns we submit now, or do our valiant warriors simply march into cyber oblivion?

It depends on whether or not the GM gets (or got) the victory claim in time.

If he does, then no, we will not see the end results, but our score will reflect the gains we made.

Thanks for a fun game, people, and for the unique introduction to RHP, too.

I'm expecting a note from the GM ending the game this week, but he might have us make another turn if we got the accpetance of the claim to him too late. We can have Hungary agree to it, too, however, and he might see that there is little point in continuing.

I think he's realized that for several turns now.

I was suggesting that Hungary might be useful in showing THE GM that continuing the game was pointless. Hungary, clearly, didn't merely want to win the game (he didn't) or to survive (he did); he wanted to see you defeated (mission accomplished).

If he additionally wanted to see you reduced to a bitter, bitter man, Hungary must be feeling truly triumphant.
