Heard about it on the radio this morning. Collapsed during rush hour last evening. Dozens of car flung into the Mississippi River. 9 confirmed deaths, 60 inguries and 20+ still missing....
Holy sh**!!
Anyone in that area? I hope all is ok and no one here suffered losses.
Shocking news.

It was a construction zone will all traffic being funneled into 2 lanes, while the workers rebuilt the other lanes as we drove by. I think they are (were) on three shifts - 24 hours a day working with huge lights.
They just moved the cones and orange barrels around as they finished each part...

Homeland Security has already ruled out terrorists (Damn, they're fast!). I'm betting on what Phlabby said.
"Nesting pigeons could also be an issue".
"Their droppings are very corrosive, which can be a problem," he said.

The excessive amount of people driving their cars over the bridge on a daily basis are ultimately responsible.
I'm still betting someone tried to save a buck over them not knowing how many cars travel the bridge each day.
