When one gets to a certain age, unoriginal, derrogatory names like "Red Sux" ought to be eradicated from one's vocabulary. Why don't you give us a "1918" chant next?
And by the way, when Slimjim said he had no desire to be a Yankee cheerleader, I don't think he meant he wouldn't want to get into a short skirt and sweater and dance around ...[text shortened]... that NO ONE wants to do that. He just meant he would never be caught dead cheering for them.

The lackluster starting pitching is killing that bullpen. Here's my bold prediction of the year. The Yankee$ (two can play at that game) will not have to worry about the Red Sox in the postseason this year, because they won't even get out of the first round. That's right, I'm predicting a first-round exit from the postseason for your Yankee$. I'm so confident it will happen, that if it doesn't happen, on my profile page I will display a big, fat, Yankee$ logo, and leave it there until Opening Day of next year.
It doesn't matter whether you love them, hate them,or don't give a hoot about them-the plain and simple fact is,and always will be, that the Yankees have that inner quality to find a way to win when needed,

Here's a blast from the past: Mazeroski hits a drive to deep left field...Berra can only turn and watch! The Pirates win, The Pirates winπ
You have a good team there, but I don't think this will be their year, not that it will be ours..hasn't been since 1979:'(

I really feel that this is St Louis's year in the National League, Even though as the saying goes, anything can happen. Their lineup is just awesome top to bottom. They can rest a regular and still beat you buy 5 runs! If they have a hole it's their pitching, which is good but not great! But with those hitters....!!
In the American League I just haven't seen a team dominate as yet! Bear in mind though, I'm a NL fan first and a baseball fan second. Actually a Pirates fan first so move those other two down a notch!!

Charlie
PS. Watch the Pirates make a run at the wildcard next year and the division in '06!!!!
