Sweet. I saw Koop live a couple of weeks ago, and they were tops. I'll have to listen to his show tomorrow.

Thanks for other peoples recs until now as well. Will check them out tomorrow.

Have you heard Fear Of Pop (vol 1) by Ben Folds?

It's comes highly recommended - especially if you're after something random and ambient...

... and you like William Shatner 😲

Ben Folds Five?

I used to like them a few years ago. They grate on me now though.

Nah, it's nothing like the Bands' 1995-1999 output.
This was a 'concept album' of sorts much in the same vein as the Cinematic Orchestra or Zero 7... but perhaps a little less commercial.

Plus, it was created by the lead singer only as a side project and is also far removed from his recent (and IMHO inferior) solo projects. It
features the venerable William Shatner in a couple of tracks and could be responsible for his turn towards the music business.

Worth also checking out 'That's me Trying' by Ben Folds and Aimee Mann - also featuring William Shatner....

Try Bonobo - Days to Come.

It's absolutely brilliant. Best thing I've heard this year.

I do the same with Charlie Gillet and some of the other World Music shows on BBC online.

I have Dial M for Monkey, but never really gave it a chance. Listening to it now again.

No thanks. I like them, but I don't go out of my way to listen to them.

I saw them live once and it was probably the worst concert I was ever at.

I love Dial M, but they're quite different albums. This one is more jazzy chill-out with smooth vocals.

I'd say that if you like Thievery, Zero 7, K&D and Gotan Project or a less weird Amon Tobin, you'd like this album, whilst Dial M is more along the lines of Four Tet.

Cool, will give it a go. Have you heard of Koop? Top, top band. They have a new album coming out soon as well.

I saw Four Tet "live" last year. It was pretty shocking, but I guess he is always going to struggle for a live show. Kid Koala was there as well, mixing four decks with no headphones. It was unreal.
