I use bittornado. very basic, no nonsense, and that's how I like it.

azureus should be a lot more functional, but I haven't tried it.

I use Soulseek. I like it better than LimeWire.

Can you give a 50 cent intro to what is bit torrent and soulseek, etc., and what does it buy you?
BTW, I googled Music Torrent and went to the first site listed and got a message from Mcafee saying that site was a known spyware site. Is that the norm with this stuff?

Soulseek is basically a free peer-to-peer file-sharing app. I download the application, then use it to search for files (albums, songs...etc.) that other users (who are online) have on their machine.

Bit torrents, as I understand them is a little more complicated, but faster and more efficient. I think the bit torrent software draws on multiple sources to fulfill your request, so if one person goes offline, or someone else's connection is slow, or their file is corrupted, your download resumes using one of the other streams. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think that's kind of how it works.

I use Limewire [well- Frostwire but it's the same practically] for single tracks and Bittorrent for full albums. [only the legal ones, of course 😀 ]

Protect your computer with AV etc and most of them are ok. [apart from Kazaa, if it's still around] 🙁

if you want to use this method then the software i would personally recomend is azureus because ive found this to be a fairly easy to use program and everything after trying a few.

there is another version of Kazaa that has a lot less problems in terms of viruses and stuff called KazaaLite, it works on the same structure as the normal one only with a lot less risk. last time i looked it was hard to find the real instalation files for this one though, but if anyone is interested i could probably find a copy for you to try.

To download torrents you'll need a client software I'd say get azureus or utorrent. As for sites, www.thepiratebay.org is good, my favorite is www.demonoid.com but you'll need membership for this one and registration isn't always open or you can try www.isohunt.com which is a searchengine that searches many different trackers.

Yeah but you forget we play "Correspondence Chess" here as a community and you play blitz chess.

You would never make that mistake if you give 2 minutes of genuine thought.

I am sure you'll be very careful about your "F" file. 😀

It can be F.ing at times 😛
