My favorite is the Office Supply store. I feel like a more purposeful person just by walking inside. All the exciting pens and paper stock and notebook styles and furniture! I received a gift card for my Office Supply store, and I spent it all on a plastic mat my office chair rolls on. It made me sad.

forgive me for appreciating how we Americans can generate single corporations capable of taking over the world with always low prices.

Wal-Mart IS EVIL!

I only go there when I have to, and it is NEVER an enjoyable experience.
I HATE the old man at the front who says "good morning" with a sick and twisted smile on his face.
Why does Wal-Mart think I want to be greated by a wierd sick old man at the door? Not to mention he scares the kids when he asks them if they want a stupid smiley face sticker!

I too love the supermarket, especially when there's lots of free samples. Also, bookstores are awesome.

aren't those creepy old people a part of an effort by Wal-Mart to employ mentally handicapped persons? and I love this, everyone gripes about Wal-Mart until they REALLY need some T.P. at three in the morning. guess who, besides Wally World is open?

What scares me are the freeky looking people that greet me, the shoddy attention to detail particularly with refrigerated products that can spoil easily, their unending drive to make a buck at any expense.

Honestly, how can you expect a bunch of kids getting paid minimun wage to actually pay attention to what they are doing when handling a head of lettuce. God knows what they were doing in the bathroom 5 minutes earlier!

are you suggesting that Wal-Mart should hire trained professionals to handle your lettuce?

Exactly!

Lettuce professionals!

People who know the exact temperature it should be kept at, how much moisture it needs to keep fresh.
People who wash their hands before they arrange it.

Ok, let's get this straight.

Wal-Mart sucks BIG TIME. The only reason I 'd ever go there is to scare the crap out of someone, showing them what might happen if they didn't work hard in school. The employees (not all of course, but most I've found) are lazy, loser, dimwitted turds. I reluctantly went in there recently to look at portable DVD players. The "technology expert" told me that most have an average battery life of 12+ hours. I pointed out that the ones I saw on the shelves had only a 2-3 hour battery life. She gave me some random useless little reply and said, "Well, let's look at the other ones." Finally, after being exposed as an inbred crap-peddling retard, she walked away to "help" the next customer.

After another 15 minutes of interaction with fat, whale-tailed, cellphone yapping, venti lardarccino slurping, puffy fleshbags of human SUV-driving excrement, I walked away too...feeling very dirty.

Target is better than Wal Mart, imo. They seem much cleaner. I bet you could eat off of almost any surface in the store and only have a 10% chance of getting sick, compared to the 90+% rate at Wal Mart. Not to mention their logo is much better.
