Go balls to the wall. Back him up into a corner and don't let up. Hit him as hard and as much as you can right off of the bat. This has worked for me in all the fights I've been in

I would protect myself at all times. The best defense is a strong offense also.
You might also listen to this guy ,if that's his real name, I would bet he has gotten into alot of fights.

This isn't my real name. But I have had my troublesome younger years, when my mouth was bigger than the rest of me...woohoo, to be young and able to fight again

Edit: Anyone know without googling, where my name came from.

Duck at the appropriate times and hit the other guy before he hits you.

If you have NEVER boxed or been in a few fights ,you may rethink this.Thai boxers are brutal.story from my past.

When I was in high school there were two Thai exchange students. The kids in school called them Bing and Bong. After a hard night of "partying" with Bing and Bong,We were outside their host's house chilling out.Along came 4 big footballplayersfromthelocalcollege. These guys were huge in that ,I am 6 foot 4 inches at the time I was 210lbs.These guys were like 280 lb linemen for the UNC bears.
also they just all seemed to dwarf me in comparison.
One of the humongous neandrathals tossed a beer bottle on the lawn.Bing (about 5 foot 3 inches and 100 lbs soaking wet) took off and yelled at the guy."Hey you!! You come back here you $$##@#(Racial slurs)%$##$ or I kick you @## all over place...YOU GOT ME MOTHER "....and so on.Goliath had enough and took a swing ,and missed Bing.Bing jumped up and kneed the monster in his temple and the bohemoth dropped like a sac of potatoes. Then Bing said to the knocked out elephant's friends."Hey YOU ...you pick up you %$#$#$ beer bottle and your piece of (thing) friend and get the %$#$# outta here."
The other jocks wanted no part of Bing and picked up their buddy and the bottle and said they were very sorry for their friends rudeness.

True ....swear to God story man.

Its just a novice fight. As such, we'll have shin pads on and there are no elbows or knees to the head allowed.

This fight is really just a warm up for the real deal in April. I haven't fought before, nor even wore mouthshields so this should be a nice introduction.

Cheers for all the tips,

D

If you want to win, put spikes in your boxing gloves.

great! it's every guy's fantasy to put big heavy dumb jocks in their place. those who practice at the dojo realize that most people can't fight, especially jocks.

yep, it's my opinion too that muay thai is the toughest fighting style. the sure sign of regard for this style is that fighters of various styles would always promote themselves by saying "we defeat a muay thai champion." documented history of open style fighting tournaments clearly show muay thai fighters dominating karate fighters due to the brutual kicking techniques and tough training regimen. ps, didn't a skinny thai fighter win a k-1 tournament last year.
