Its just a novice fight. As such, we'll have shin pads on and there are no elbows or knees to the head allowed.
This fight is really just a warm up for the real deal in April. I haven't fought before, nor even wore mouthshields so this should be a nice introduction.
Cheers for all the tips,

You say you haven't fought before, but I assume you have been sparring right? (but without a gumshield?!) Don't wait until the night to try in the gumshield they feel awkward at first, and when you get out of breath, it's natural for your mouth to open a bit, this is when your (at least mine did until I got used to controlling it) gumshield has a tendency to fall out, when that happens the ref kicks it out the ring obviously the fight isn't stopped, all I am saying is be aware of this, as its much better to keep it in. Also if your opponent knows anything you have just signalled that you are running out of breath, whenever I saw that I used to try and muster a sustained attack. Definately do not be dismissive about it being a novice fight, there are no friends in the ring, take it extremely seriuously
