Sounds very much like Bodø. And guess what, I even like it. ๐Ÿ™‚ No clouds? How boring...

I hated it... depressing as all hell...

specially since I like climbing and you need sunshine (well at least no rain) for that

Well, I have to admit that I have cursed the clouds quite a few times when the aurora was out and dancing and I couldn't see it. But it's still much better than too much heat and light and too little rain.

Er, what was this thread about again? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sounds almost the same as mine.
I've got the A64 3500+ with 200GB HD, 1GB RAM, same motherboard and the 6600GT graphics.

hey starman you make music dont you.. I would suggest you get a pro-soundcard if ou want to start using your new system for music..
something like a RME or motu I would highly recomend. but if you want something bit cheaper I would say go for an emu card.

Erm.. They don't cut it.. not saying you can't use them.. but I wouldn't say they're "Pro". I think creative have had bad name in pro-audio from day one. The audigy is aimed more at home entertainment ie dvd's (5.1) & games (EAX).
Not only that the audigy's don't have many inputs or outputs (these are used to record instruments) take alook at this motu card and you'll see what I mean.

i'll add this link to because these rme cards are superior to most "pro-audio" cards rme are the best IMO but not cheap. the price of one of these will probably cost starman the same what he paid for his new system.

Hmm... pretty... want.... Cheers for the links.

Unfortunately it was a choice between price and all round functionality. At some point in the future when I can afford it I will set up another computer (Probably a mac) solely for music and then obviously I will invest in different hardware, more suitable for the job. For now I'll just have to lump it, it's a gaming and entertainment pc foremost.
