Looking for a decent horror movie - something that will chill the spine. Maybe a nightmare or two. Yet to see a movie that can do that....any suggestions?

The Ring is creepy, unless you've seen it.

Fatal Attraction.

I don't know if you would call it horror, but it sure will scare the crap out of you.

A good old Vincent Price movie.

Wolf creek was pretty spine chilling if you can get through the whole long drawn out first half of it.

It has the usual obligatory scenes in it though. 🙁
Which makes it cheesy at times.

I haven't seen Pulse yet but I thought it lokoed good. They all do in the previews.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake) was good too.

I like The Shining and The Thing. Although my friends have recommended films, I'm yet to see films that can touch em. Last film that proper scared me was Exorcist III when i was 10 years old. So come on, let's have it!

Audition doesn't count, it was phat but not scary...

The original Rear Window (I think that's what it was called [the one with Jimmy Stewart]) was good.

I hear Wrong Turn is also frightening.

I have seen all movies suggested - most were at least decent movies, but nothing really scary.

mokko - Pulse was good, interesting story to it. I recommend it for anyone who enjoys "scary" movies.

Decent was also good - I liked the story and would like to see a second one made, but the best that got out of me was a small jolt.

Gimme more ideas....

Mate, one of the best movies for sheer dread is Jeepers Creepers.

The Exorcist still wrecks me...

Hostel is pretty good too.

Saw was an excellent movie!
Part 2 sucked.
The third one was good but not as well put together as it could have been.

Trying to think of this one movie I saw some time ago. Done in a real cheezy style and the begining had me rolling my eyes (but kind of laughing) but it turned out to be really good. Not sure if it was called "Dead Birds" or not. Bothering me now. I have to check.

Also have the hills have eyes here. Not so sure about scary....but had it's creepy moments.

Edit:

YUP! Dead Birds.
