Do you really believe what you are saying? Your comments are the very reason why cheating accusations are banned in the forums and there are only a select few who are have enough integrity to be game moderators.
Is is completely out of the realm of believability for a player to become a strong player or even IM or GM before joining this site??? ...[text shortened]... me or 2 to weaker players, this also shows their guilt????
You need to rethink your opinions.
I got a sense this guy was a cheater, and here we are in a thread dedicated to his getting banned for cheating. Seems like I was right.
for one, I never accused anyone of cheating in any public forum. I have not done so EVER on this site.
For another, there have been several players who i felt, and many other ppl felt, were cheaters who were then banned without being a surprise for 3b. Players such as GauraV and MaryAnn.
There is a pattern among cheaters, so maybe, just maybe, a player will come along every once in a while and have the same earmarks that usually signify a cheat and NOT be a cheater, but it is the exception not the rule.
I always find it suspicious when someone screams up the charts playing 70-100 games at once and making no blunders against higher and higher quality opponents. Even more suspicious when they can beat someone 2300+ but lose to someone 1600.
This after defending someone who turned out to be a cheat, now I am always suspicious.
Looking at this thread, there are at least 3 other ppl who posted that went the full 9 and said straight up they knew other users, unnamed, were cheats. You didnt see fit to reply to their posts?
I'll thank you to not impugn my integrity again either. You dont know the first thing about me nor my integrity.
and I would fully be suspicious of someone claiming to be an IM or GM who comes to a correspondence chess site and loses to a 1600 player that I am capable of defeating.
maybe you should rethink what is worth chastising, because it certainly isnt my post.

What is your point exactly? Where have I supported public implications?
I havent accused anyone of cheating.
I made a statement, after the fact, in a thread dedicated to discussing someone who had already been banned under 3(b). I made a statement after the fact that I had basically expected it to happen.
I at no point aired any of my suspicions publicly, nor did I even imply such a thing anywhere.
Your telling me that I shouldnt privately, in my own thoughts, suspect someone of engine abuse who shows similarities to previous engine abusers, is absurd.
I agree with the forum ban on public cheating accusations, and I leave the decisions and banning up to the moderators. However, after being at this site nearly a year and seeing 20 some odd users banned for 3(b) I now have suspicions about users from time to time.
If I dont announce them or accuse them publicly, what is the harm in my own personal suspicions?
