I'll tell you, Mr. Bowmann... the biggest beef I have with you is that you focus on the inconsequential (misspellings and missteps in grammar) instead of focusing on the ideas being presented. Let it go, man! It's a fact of life that people will screw up from time to time, but it does not mean their idea is invalid just because they mispell a word, or because they use their own country's spelling of the word! Imagine how life would be if you had some little twit following you around incessantly pointing out and correcting your mistakes? How long would it be before you had had enough? What I find completely baffling is why people here tolerate, and even encourage this asinine behavior. If you are indeed as smart as you (and your fans) keep telling us, I would have thought you would have dropped this nonsensical behavior long ago. I know I would certainly have more respect for someone who conversed like a human, instead of someone who acts like an ass all the time.
Yet they were too lazy to invent a new one.
Ok, soapbox mode off...

As an American, you either don't care about this or you're bafflingly ignorant of it.

It's the country I love. I only hate the people currently running it.
And it IS inconsequential when you quote each and every instance of an American spelling for a word and then follow it with the British spelling. NO ONE CARES.
You would be better advised to respond to the ideas in the message you quote instead of the spelling and/or grammar. It's also eminently more respectful. You don't make friends in this world by being an ass and dissing everyone.

Although it is painful, I have to agree with Bowmann on this matter.
You see, it starts by misspelling words: Humor instead of humour, for example. But it generally ends up with freaks like George Bush pronouncing beautiful words like nuclear as NOO Cler.
Yes, languages change as does everything else with time. But as evolution suggests, things are ...[text shortened]... et me wrong though, what the Cockney types do with English should be a shooting offense as well.
