I read today about a tavern (not this one) where they had invested in bean bags because of low prices. Unfortunately there was a hold-up the other day and all the guests were ordered outside leaving only wallets and expensive watches. It appeared after a while that one of the guests was missing, maybe two. Because of the huge size of the bean bags, the persons are believed to ...[text shortened]... possible place left is the huge bags which, as I write, are being cut open and emptied of all beans.

We did factor in the risk factor, when purchasing the bean bags, and indeed I had a distant cousin who was swallowed whole by one, back in the 1980's.

The risk however was considered low (to not existent) so went ahead and made the purchase.

Perhaps it would be proper to alert the manufacturer of the possible risk for loss of bodies - they may not be many but dearly loved. Maybe they could consider a small label saying people sit in the bag at their own risk?
