@pianoman1 saidTrump's charisma doesn't work on you. It doesn't work on me, either, but it evidently works on millions of people who think he's a great leader.
Trump has no charisma, in my view. He is a robotic troll with no gentility or grace.
Trump had never said anything humorous. Ever. He does not understand humour. Humour has no place in his philosophy.
Whereas Boris revels in humour. He has the intelligence to see humour everywhere.
Trump has never said something to make you laugh, or me. Millions of people howl with laughter when he makes the joke - and it is one, even if you and I don't laugh at it - that the stage might collapse under the 9/11 firefighters.
Trump's humour is coarse, crude, untentionally offensive, unintelligent and low-brow, but that is exactly what his audience likes and can handle, and he knows it and plays his audience, which does not include you or me, very well.
Boris' humour is obfuscated, intentionally mystifying, over-the-top high-brow and patronising, but that is exactly what his over-latinate, under-numerate Tory audience likes, and he blusters very well.
The difference is entirely superficial. One is a boardroom bully, the other a Bullingdon bully, that's all.
@very-rusty saidGosh, really? You surprise me. I thought it was only every single news, talk and panel show in every single western country except Canada that had spent the last couple of months making these jokes.
Actually in has been pointed out on several of our talk shows here in Canada. 😉
@shallow-blue saidThat is ok, you are allowed to be wrong! 😉
